Adoption Process

The African Tails adoption process includes:

View a Dog

African Tails does not have a kennel facility, as all of our dogs are in foster homes. To find out about the dogs that are currently available, check out our homeseeking hounds, visit our Facebook page or subscribe to receive our email updates. Once you have seen a dog you like, please contact an African Tails representative to find out more about the specific dog. Or you can just call a representative and we will match your needs to one of our special doggies. Alternatively please visit one of our adoption days.

Site Visit

Before we can make your adoption official, we’ll need to visit your home, to ensure that it’s a secure and suitable home for your new baby.

Adoption Forms

The African Tails adoption form allows us to get to know you properly, and ensures that you are fully aware of what is expected of you. Please note that no breeding is allowed with an African Tails pet, and all must be sterilised. We have adoption forms for dogs and for cats- please contact Lauren on 021 510 7360 or email adoptions@africantails.co.za to ask for an adoption form.
